Dear Families,

Last week, I had the opportunity to take several staff members to the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Conference in Sacramento. PBIS is a schoolwide approach that focuses on teaching and recognizing positive behavior to create a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment for all students. We learned so much and are excited to share what we discovered with the rest of our team and begin implementing new strategies at our school. 

This Friday is Elementary Ag Day! Students will have the opportunity to explore animals and learn about many different aspects of agriculture. Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Church, along with their students, are planning and hosting this wonderful hands-on event for our Preschool through 6th-grade students. We often need extra help to make this day a success, so please watch for more information later in the week if you’re interested in volunteering or attending.

Queridas familias,

La semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de llevar a varios miembros del personal a la Conferencia de PBIS (Intervenciones y Apoyos Positivos de Conducta) en Sacramento. PBIS es un enfoque escolar que se centra en enseñar y reconocer las conductas positivas para crear un ambiente de aprendizaje seguro, respetuoso y solidario para todos los estudiantes. Aprendimos muchísimo y estamos muy emocionados de compartir lo que descubrimos con el resto del equipo y comenzar a implementar nuevas estrategias en nuestra escuela.

¡Este viernes es el Día de Agricultura de Primaria! Los estudiantes tendrán la oportunidad de explorar animales y aprender sobre muchos aspectos diferentes de la agricultura. La Sra. Moore y la Sra. Church, junto con sus estudiantes, están planeando y organizando este maravilloso evento práctico para nuestros alumnos de Preescolar a 6.º grado. A menudo necesitamos ayuda adicional para que este día sea un éxito, así que estén atentos a más información más adelante en la semana si están interesados en ser voluntarios o asistir al evento.
