Dear Families,

I am excited to share that this week we are launching a new curriculum called Purposeful People from the Character Strong Company. Through this program, students will explore a different character trait each month, including Respect, Responsibility, Gratitude, Empathy, Perseverance, Honesty, Cooperation, Courage, and Creativity. This work ties in beautifully with the MTSS/PBIS practices we already have in place to support student growth and success.

I also shared an introductory letter on Class Dojo with more details about the program. I encourage you to take a look so you can learn more about what your child will be experiencing.

Queridas Familias,

Me complace compartir que esta semana estamos implementando un nuevo plan de estudios llamado Purposeful People de la compañía Character Strong. A través de este programa, los estudiantes aprenderán un rasgo de carácter diferente cada mes, incluyendo Respeto, Responsabilidad, Gratitud, Empatía, Perseverancia, Honestidad, Cooperación, Valentía y Creatividad. Picture Day is here!
Monday morning is Picture Day. Students brought home order forms last week. If you did not receive one, we have extra forms available in the office. Please remember that photographers will not have change, so send the exact amount of money if paying in cash. You also have the option to order online.

First Awards Ceremony
Our first Awards Ceremony will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025, at 8:00 a.m. in the gym. We will celebrate Student of the Month, AR Reading, Attendance, and recognize participation in the Fall Fundraiser. Parents are always welcome to attend, and we would love to see you there!

¡El Día de las Fotos ya está aquí!
El lunes por la mañana será el Día de las Fotos. Los estudiantes llevaron a casa los formularios de pedido la semana pasada. Si no recibió uno, tenemos formularios adicionales en la oficina. Recuerde que los fotógrafos no tendrán cambio, por lo que le pedimos enviar el monto exacto en efectivo. También tiene la opción de hacer su pedido en línea.

Primera Ceremonia de Premiación
Nuestra primera Ceremonia de Premiación será el viernes 3 de octubre de 2025, a las 8:00 a.m. en el gimnasio. Celebraremos al Estudiante del Mes, la Lectura AR, la Asistencia y el Reconocimiento por la participación en la Recaudación de Fondos de Otoño. ¡Los padres siempre son bienvenidos y nos encantaría verlos allí!

Dear Families,

Thank you to all who attended our ELAC Meeting and Back to School Night this past week. It was wonderful to see so many parents and guardians partnering with us to support our students. We truly value your engagement and commitment to our school community.

We also want to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported our Fall Fundraiser. Together, our students have sold over $15,000 in products so far! We are so proud of their hard work and the generosity of our families and community. Please remember that all fundraiser orders are due Monday, September 15th.

As a reminder, when questions or concerns arise about your student, the most efficient way to receive help is to start by contacting your child’s teacher. Teachers will have the best insight into classroom learning, homework, field trips, and classroom incidents. If, after speaking with the teacher, you feel more support is needed, please reach out to the office staff.

Please come directly to the office for matters such as:

• Requesting independent study
  
  

• Athletics questions
  
  

• Driver paperwork or forms

Queridas Familias,

Gracias a todos los que asistieron a nuestra reunión de ELAC y a la Noche de Regreso a Clases la semana pasada. Fue maravilloso ver a tantos padres y tutores colaborar con nosotros para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes. Valoramos mucho su participación y compromiso con nuestra comunidad escolar.

También queremos dar un enorme agradecimiento a todos los que han apoyado nuestra recaudación de fondos de otoño. ¡En conjunto, nuestros estudiantes han vendido más de $15,000 en productos hasta ahora! Estamos muy orgullosos de su arduo trabajo y de la generosidad de nuestras familias y comunidad. Recuerden que todos los pedidos deben entregarse el lunes 15 de septiembre.

Como recordatorio, cuando surjan preguntas o inquietudes sobre su estudiante, la manera más eficiente de recibir ayuda es comenzar comunicándose con el/la maestro/a de su hijo/a. Los maestros conocen mejor el aprendizaje en el salón, las tareas, las excursiones y los incidentes en clase. Si después de hablar con el maestro necesita más apoyo, por favor comuníquese con el personal de la oficina.

Por favor acuda directamente a la oficina para asuntos como:
